Iaido and Aikido Seminar with D. Boyet Shihan Oct. 2022

Multnomah Aikikai September 12, 2022

Didier Boyet Shihan will be teaching a seminar at Multnomah Aikikai Oct. 14-16, 2022.

Registration is now open!

You may build your own schedule and select the specific classes you would like to register for. Because of the format of this seminar schedule, classes are priced separately on the registration form. If attending several classes, you may opt for the “package” registration option to reduce your total cost. Please read the instructions on the registration form:

Seminar classes will include aikido body arts, bokken classes designed for both iaido and aikido practitioners, and iaido classes. One special iaido class session will be reserved for a small number of iaido practitioners carrying over 5 years experience.


Provisional schedule for Oct. 14-16, 2022

Friday afternoon class Oct. 14: Warm up / Aikido body arts 5pm-6pm

Arrive early and limber up for the weekend seminar with a class led by Norine Longmire Sensei, 5th dan, shidoin BNA certified aikido instructor, and certified kundalini yoga instructor. Stretch, strengthen, and activate your core muscles. Then apply that work to aikido practice.

Classes to be taught by Boyet Shihan:

Friday Oct. 14

6:30pm - 8pm: iaido class (open to all iaido practitioners) 


Saturday Oct. 15

Morning

10am - 11:15am, session 1 : Aikido body arts class

11:30am -12:30pm, session 2: Bokken class open to iaido and aikido practitioners

Lunch break

Afternoon

2:45pm - 3:45pm, session 3: Iaido Group One - for practitioners with at least 25 hours experience

4:00pm - 5:15pm, session 4: Iaido Group Two - for practitioners with 5+ years experience


Sunday Oct. 16

Morning

10am - 11:15am: Aikido body arts

11:30am - 12:30pm: Bokken class open to aikido and iaido practitioners
